He's Perfect For Us

We lost our beloved 13 year old lab in March 2007.  We started talking about adopting another dog in the hopes that it would help us not miss Angus so much.  We weren't sure if we were ready, but I put the word out anyway.  Several situations came up, but they didn't seem right for us.

Then one day, my boss sent me an e-mail about a puppy looking for a home.  I was unable to connect to the link but found the animalsfirstfoundation.org link.  I went to their web site to check it out.  There he was, Austin, looking as cute as he could be.  We talked it over because we wanted to be sure we were ready.

We contacted AFF to see if he was even still available.  We were told that he was but, another person was interested as well.  We set up an appointment to meet him.  He was as charming as he could be. We were very interested in moving forward with the adoption.

Four days later, we brought him home to start his new life.  He adjusted to all the new things quickly and is very smart.  We continually say how lucky we are.  I believe it was fate that brought us together.  The reason he was last from his litter to be adopted was because he was waiting for us.  He brings us much joy and laughs and we look forward to providing him with a wonderful life.

Marlene, Kurt & Austin

PS:
He's doing well in class.  He gets more and more comfortable each day.  And, of course he is getting spoiled already - can't help it.

He's wonderful and he's perfect for us.  Thanks again.
