Love my Greta!

December 2007 was a great month for me and my new baby, Greta.  For too many years, I talked about getting a dog but always came up with a reason not to.  My friend Alyssa and my brother’s girlfriend Erin started volunteering their time walking dogs at a kennel. One night, I decided to join Alyssa walk the dogs.  I was originally going to just “foster” one of the dogs. But, I knew after one week with Greta that she was my girl.

Greta was not one of the dogs at the kennel the night I went down with Alyssa.  I picked her up at the vet's clinic in West Seattle. I was uneasy about the fact that I was taking a dog home I had just met, and hoping that I would make it through the weekend.

Greta and I spent the next couple of days checking each other out and, that was it for me.  I totally fell in love with my Greta!  She is a great dog and she now has a permanent place to call home.  She has a lot of love to give and she is great with my friends and family.

She and I go everywhere together and, when you come to “her” house, bring treats.

Now, thanks to the Foundation and a couple of pushy friends, I have found my soul mate and look forward to many fun and adventurous years with my Greta.
