A Note from Ruby Dee
Hey, it's me, Ruby Dee. Just saying "Hi," and thanking you for the great home. Mom hasn't had Internet, so hasn't been able to send my note until now, but I am loving it here! I get to sleep on the bed and beg for yummy treats like apples, carrots, and of course, COOKIES!!! I don't really like grapefruit. I spit it out and then squish it and Mom laughs so hard.
I love to make my mom laugh, I am so silly and darling. Oftentimes when I am playing, I notice that Mom is just staring at me; she thinks that I am so gorgeous. My tail never stops wagging these days like, when we play, when we walk, when we just hang out. I get plenty of exercise and am going to start agility and weight-pulling in the summer. For now, it's hiking and chasing ducks, Yippee!!!
Thank you for finding us for each other. Mom and me love each other very much, and are very, very, VERY happy together!!
~ Ruby Dee
A note from Mom:
Ruby Dee and I are doing great; she's sleeping by the glass back-doors right now. We just got back from a walk. She keeps me really busy and active, and I do the same for her. We walk/run 5 miles a day, and she gets to come to work with me and play with all the other dogs.
She helps me socialize the new fosters by playing rowdy to wear them out, but nicely to teach them how to be with other dogs. She is a great help. This summer, we'll be doing agility, pulling, and obedience training. We sure are busy! I like having a best friend to always play with and, so does she.
She really is my baby, my friend, and my dog. It's such a gift to get to see things from a dog's eyes - living in the moment and enjoying every second. She has taught me a lot. Thanks for everything you did to put us together. She makes me laugh so hard with her antics and smiles!
